I ordered the Blue Ant X5i from Shopcell – an Amazon market place vendor. While the product was delivered promptly enough, alas – it wouldn’t even switch on.
My first step was to call “BLUEANT” customer support (North America) . After a moderate wait I was able to get a live support rep. We went over diagnostics, but within the first minute of the call, his question was “How much did you pay for this product?”..When I answered $30 on Amazon.com – his response was ” Must have been refurbished! – send it back to the seller!!”….When I mentioned the description says – brand new and it arrived in new packaging his answer didn’t change.
At this point – it became pretty obvious that he’d lost all interest in the call and wanted to just get me off the phone…
Then I asked about their product warranty – I even have a product warranty card – he said, “call the seller first or return it to them!”….
What kind or condescending product support/warranty is this – product support has no business asking about product price…
I highly doubt their product warranty means anything to them or – or even if they will stand behind it.
Their product support and brand standards are probably just like their product – substandard and indifferent

I bought this for me and 2 others and was skeptical at first but when
i got it and started using it i loved it
sound is clear, easy to use and very functional
i was able to use it even when filling up gas since it has a magnet and the clip stays on the
visor i stuck it to the car and kept talking while fueling.
the other has the same he says he uses it inside he house cause sound is clear on both ends

I bought two of these units last year for Christmas for my wife and daughter. Both failed within 7-8 months due to the collapsible on/off switch spring failing, which will not allow the unit to be turned off when not in use.

Very good value for the money. Have to be a little careful in placement so your voice is picked up by the microphone. Very easy to use. Great battery life, so far. I’ve had the Blue Ant for two months now, and am quite pleased. Have not had much luck with the “voice recognition”; so I keep my phone in a simple squeeze-type holder on the dashboard of my truck. I leave it open, and it is very easy to touch the necessary buttons to dial up numbers in my “contact” list. Overall: good product for the price.

I bought this speakerphone for my wife’s car. It is not as
user friendly as the $29.99 VR3 VRBT300V that I bought for my
self. However, the VR3 was more difficult to pair to our 2
cell phones. That little microphone is not that convenient
to release when you try to push it. I just leave it out.
There was no problem pairing this with 2 Bluetooth phones.
The BlueAnt is very nice looking and seems quite sturdy.
Since their initial full charge, both phones have maintained
their charge. We simply from time to time plug them in while
we are driving and they seem to hold their charge.
